About
I am a freelance journalist and former newspaper editor and broadcaster. I market my own articles, re-draft and correct the work of others and offer support to the growing number of people undertaking self-publishing to ensure their text is well finished.
I can also advise individuals submitting scripts, articles and treatments to publishers and broadcasters, people struggling with writing speeches, theses, papers for peer review, dissertations or abstracts. Voice, pronunciation and delivery coaching available (one-to-one or for groups of up to six people). I am also highly skilled at drafting articles or advertisement features of any length from given source material. more

The Speaking Business specialised in tailoring its training programmes to clients' individual needs. I have also produced Shakespeare at the Centre, the magazine of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust at Stratford-upon-Avon, and currently contribute regularly to the Stratford-upon-Avon Herald on various topics including farming, countryside, wildlife and arts. Other clients include The Prince's Trust, Labour Women's Network and the Royal College of Nursing, for whom The Speaking Business also produced video programmes for training purposes. I am vice chairman of the Badger Trust and a member of the Coventry and Warwickshire Selection Panel for the West Midlands Council of the Prince's Trust. I also produce corporate videos for charities and individuals.
